Which probably will be "Heavy Metal" in winter. Then they put two other mechs as replacements for them in and when the legal trouble was over there was hope they will come later with a DLC. Warhammer & Marauder were also in the kickstarter list, then taken out due to the lawsuit. I can accept that this same treatment will happen to the Unseen. I think they do a lot of things right and I like a lot of their games, but some of their practises are very predatory. Paradox is well known for promising games with great graphics for example, then the game comes out looking like arse and the great graphics you saw in the trailer are part of "flavour packs" at $10 a blast, $100 for the game to look like it did in the release trailer. Probably not a popular answer or one you wanted to hear, but it's the truth. HBS at least, was a successful indie developer that delivered for it's fans. If it makes you feel better, at least Battletech got made, many kickstarter projects meet the barest of the promises then desolve themselves and disappear with the money into the mist. That's how games companies use kickstarter these days, it's sad but that's life in a world that revolves on money.

I think they are probably worth it at full price, but they go on sale pretty often and are definitely worth it after the discount. The flashpoints and new planets /missions really breaks up the grind if you are doing a long career too. If you like the base game, the DLC adds a lot of cool stuff without changing the core game too much. Heavy metal adds special advanced mechs and new advanced equipment. The others also add new flashpoints but fewer of them. You go on a mission with a story and do 2-4 linked missions with the outcome affected by your choices. All of them add new random events.įlashpoint adds the flashpoint mini campaigns. They go on sale often.Īll of them add new mechs and new equipment. The short answer is yes, particularly if you get them on sale.
